Jameson ~ RIP ~ Photos

2021 came to a sad ending for me as on December 31, my beautiful, sweet feline, Jameson, crossed the Rainbow Bridge. That evening there were many toasts to Jameson by my friends and me.

Jameson was very special, and I have so many fabulous memories. Two friends gave her to me (she had found them, but they had two cats who did not accept a new cat) and it was love at first sight.

I’ve had other cats, and each has been marvelously unique. Jameson was by far the sweetest, most affectionate cat yet quite feisty and independent. She would follow me about, sit with me (or on me) while I read, helped me work on puzzles (guarding the puzzle or hiding the pieces — seriously, she would pick up a piece and hide it!) and loved looking out the patio door at squirrels and rabbits. She would hide, thinking the squirrels could not see her and would then pounce.

One day I saw her drinking from my water glass ~ I laughed and wondered how long she’d been doing that. Thereafter, she had a glass of water on a cocktail table in the living room.

Jameson also enjoyed looking at a video of insects that a friend gave her and would sometimes watch shows on my laptop with me.

And every time I look about, I can see all of the places where she would nap, from blankets that I kept on top of a washer-dryer, to the sofa, a lounge chair, her bed, my bed, my pillow … Yes, Jameson definitely was a 5-star napper.

Jameson was a very special friend who is deeply missed.
