Rediscovered Bookshop, Boise
Located on popular 8th Street (restaurant row), this is a terrific place to stop in and browse. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable, with “staff picks” and book club picks displayed.
There is an excellent selection of books, including mysteries (where I always find new authors), literature, sci-fi and fantasy, philosophy, history, cooking, health and games. There is a terrific classics section ranging from Edgar Allen Poe’s “Tales and Poems” to Sun Tzu’s “The Art of War.” The children’s section also has a wide range of books, games and toys, including many classics (J M Barrie’s “Peter Pan”).
There is a small sitting area plus a nice selection of cards and cute socks and check out the Water Color Travel Set. It is a small shop but well worth your visit.
The Well~Read Moose, Coeur d’Alene
Located in the River Front section of Coeur d’Alene, this bookshop is a favorite place to visit. Start with a fabulous Iced Latte and a pastry, (later in the day, there is wine or beer and snacks), sit for a while in the café area or start to browse the terrific book selection.
It is a favorite Indy book shop as I always find something in their terrific mystery or literature sections. Other sections include pet books, fascinating lives, a marvelous card selection, journals, unique coasters and a children’s section with books and toys and terrific stuffed animals.
In addition to the seating in the café area, there is a nice area in the bookshop by a window plus a smaller area near the pet book section. Check out the web site for information about special author book nights, upcoming events, staff picks and book clubs.
