Been a very busy time here. Did I mention to you that I am now a Great Grandmother of four little ones—(2) boys; (2) girls. Our entire family will be celebrating Thanksgiving at my Granddaughter’s (Sara) home. Sara is now a practicing Dermatologist in Aspen. We are very proud of her achievements. Sara and Mike had a baby girl, Naomi, in October, 2023.
I have hired a professional photographer to take pictures of our entire family along with shots of various family members with Lori and Russ. Lori was diagnosed w/Bobar ALS this past summer! It is a horrific disease. Lori’s is in her tongue which twitches. It is not in her extremities. Lori can still talk but her words are deliberate and slightly slurred. Per my Internist, she will eventually need a tracheotomy and a feeding tube when she can no longer swallow. Lori has always been a wonderful daughter-in-law filled with love and caring. The entire family is very upset and absolutely shocked by this news. It took Roy and me several months to just absorb the news.
I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving! We will be filled with JOY that we are all together. On Christmas, my entire family will be here at our home which is a huge deal, preparation-wise!
